Principal Message

Hello Families and Prospective Families of Infant Jesus of Prague!

As we enter into our 65th year as an academically rigorous, faith-based learning community, we are guided by our deep belief in teaching the whole child and doing so as an integrated School-Parish community. Instructing our students through standards-based, inquiry learning, that is fostered by an understanding of our Christian spiritual formation and Catholic identity.

Teaching and learning begins with a sustained commitment and promise to our school’s mission that “...promote[s] Catholic education and traditions with Christian values in a loving, secure and compassionate environment centered on Jesus’ teachings. Nurturing such an environment for belonging where “... students and families from diverse backgrounds work together [within] a community of respect, spirituality and academic achievement. We focus on [academic rigor and] excellence in education with a commitment to the total formation of all students as they journey through life.”

Our mission challenges us to make learning and our faith connection even more personal, collaborative, supportive and inclusive for every member of the Infant Jesus of Prague community. We know that the most effective and compelling learning happens when students are introduced to opportunities that engage their interests, experiences and talents, while providing equitable and inclusive access. I see myself as one who not only supports educational systems that encourage and invite innovative, progressive teaching and learning, but where students feel seen, nurtured, safe, brave, empowered, included, valued, supported, and intellectually motivated throughout their learning journey.

At Infant Jesus of Prague, we create the environment for this type of learning through our integrative curriculum approach, extra curricular programs (artistic, athletic and academic), innovative teaching methods and collaborative religious education program between the Parish and School. Thus, we are committed to all of this work by our shared values around faith, integrity, academic excellence and community.

We are “Better Together” as a learning community that “[t]eaches the mind and touches the spirit!” Let faith and curiosity be our guide and a growth mindset our goal. This is the heart of the Infant Jesus of Prague-St. Veronica Parish experience. I look forward to meeting and working with all of you and your children this school year.
