Dear IJP Families,

A heartfelt thank you to all our Veteran family members and friends for their service to our country as we celebrate, remember, and pray for all this Veteran’s Day!

Several reminders as we wrap up the first trimester: As we return to more normal November weather, please make sure your child, Pre-K through 8th grade, is prepared with a winter coat, hat and gloves.  As weather allows, we will continue to go outside for recess.  Also, please make sure you are checking the school calendar on a regular basis. The online calendar is updated regularly with the most current information.  The calendar can be found on the website, under the “Current Students” tab.

Today is the last day of the Trimester. Report Cards for the first trimester will be sent home with the students at the end of the day on Friday, November 17th.  Report cards will not be released to families with any delinquent balances or fees and are held in the School Office.  If you are unsure of monies owed, please contact Mrs. Dull in the office.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are Monday, November 20th from 2-8 pm and Tuesday, November 21st from 9-noon and 1-4 pm. The due date for returning a conference request was today and the schedule is being created. Your conference time will be sent home with your child early next week.

We are holding a fundraiser with Premier Designs Jewelry on Monday, November 20 from 1:30 to 4:30 pm during Parent/Teacher Conference time. Please stop by and start your Christmas shopping early! Go to to check out the online catalog. 50% of the sales will be donated back to IJP School.

There will be Extended Day Care in the morning and afternoon on Monday, November 20th. We dismiss at noon on Monday.  If you will be using Extended Day in the afternoon, please remember to pack a lunch for your child.

We will be hosting our first Open House for prospective students on Tuesday, November 28th from 6:30-8:00 pm. If you know of a family that is looking at school options for next fall, please hand them our Open House postcard and encourage them to stop by and see what IJP has to offer. A was sent home with your child this week. Write you name on the postcard and if the family comes to Open House and enrolls in our school, your family will receive an incentive reward!

Have a wonderful weekend!

As we close out the football season, both our Varsity and Junior Varsity Kingsmen are champions!  They won their final games against St. Ann and they had the best records in the league.  Thanks to our Varsity coaches – Phil Maclin & Will Ross, and our JV coaches – Ronnie Gordon & Hector Cummings – for all the hard work and sportsmanship they instilled into our boys. Special thanks to the parents, grandparents, family and friends that delivered our boys to every practice and every game, and cheered them on no matter the weather.

Stay Tuned for Winter Sports:

How do you get to Carnegie Hall?  Practice, practice, practice!  Carnegie Hall may not quite be in their plans but our eight girls volleyball teams and ten boys basketball teams are probably practicing as you read this.  It’s almost winter sports time and we should have more information next week!
